Generation
The following formats can be generated:- HTML pages
- PDF file
- RTF file
Project >> Generate >> Generate [format]
(where [format] is HTML, PDF or RTF) from the main menu.
HTML pages
When generating HTML pages a progress dialog appears showing what VSpace is doing. When the generation process has successfully finished VSpace asks you if the generated website should be opened in a browser (see image below).
Notice: You have to choose a Start Scene for your Virtual Space otherwise VSpace can not open the website in a browser.
See the article Navigation bar configuration to learn more about configuring the navigation bar of the generated web pages.
PDF file
If you choose to generate a PDF file, after selecting the corresponding menu entry nothing happens. Up to version 0.93.0Beta that is correct! Go to the project folder in the file system. There exists a file now called VSpacePDFDocumentation.pdf
.
Notice: If you open the generated PDF file in Adobe Acrobat the images in the PDF file are not displayed correctly. On OS X use the application "Preview" instead.
RTF file
The generation of a RTF file works the same way as the generation of a PDF file. Except that the new file created in the project folder is called VSpaceRTFDocumentation.rtf
.
Notice: On OS X the RTF file is not displayed correctly if you use the application "TextEdit". Use "OpenOffice.org" or "Microsoft Word" instead.
